Beeney’s Website Was the Icing on the Cake

Designing and developing Beeney’s website was the final piece of the jigsaw for home grown food company

When the Sofa Web & Design was approached to develop Beeney’s website, the company already had an organic customer base through word of mouth and social media. This following was built up through the lockdown as the business was born through necessity and circumstance. It has since grown from strength to strength and is a genuine success story.

After 38 years in the catering industry working all over the country as an award winning pastry chef Bri found himself out of work in the first lockdown as the hospitality trade was forced to close. He teamed up with Sam and started by making brownies from home and within a few weeks they began adding more and more items to their menu including afternoon tea which, whilst working in a hotel, Bri won awards for. Since then they have built up a regular customer base offering home delivery and collection.

Each of Beeney’s products are freshly homemade in their 5 star hygiene rated kitchen so therefore need to be ordered in advance. They have a set menu but also add weekly specials and are open to requests. Throughout the year Beeney’s add more products for different occasions from Valentines to Easter, Mothers and Fathers day to Christmas so they are constantly experimenting with different themes.

One of the services they offer is personalisation. This can be anything from Birthday cakes to Birthday pies, they even do personalised sausage rolls!

Sam and Bri are also keen foragers and they are always on the look out whilst out walking for things they can use in their recipes. As the seasons change there are lots of different things to look out for when foraging and Beeney’s try and incorporate these in our dishes throughout the year.

Sam and Bri wanted to take their business to the next level and attract businesses as well as their regular customers. They got in touch with The Sofa Web & Design to help them in creating their website. With the business being food based and very visual, the website needed to reflect this with colour scheme and structure. Brown’s and cream’s and flowing lines helped to tell the story along with the food related imagery.

Beeney’s now have their products in a number of high profile food outlets around the region and have built a name for themselves in their local community and surrounding areas. Building a consistent brand and having the marketing basics have helped to grow the business and form a base for their success. Beeney’s website has certainly helped with that process.
